What We Offer
Editing
We take your raw recorded files and go through with a fine-tooth comb, taking out clicks, noises, hums, pops, and any offensive sounding breaths (while leaving in some of the good breaths so you don’t sound like Siri). At Anansi, we also respect the performance, so we edit for timing as well, keeping in mind the dramatic ebbs and flows of a good story.
Editing: $65 per finished hour of audio
Mastering
At this stage, we are making minor adjustments to the audio to ensure the best quality audio no matter what medium the listener is using. We are also making sure everything meets the technical standards of ACX or whatever publisher you are working with. A typical mastering process could include a voice De-noiser, De-clicker, post-EQ, De-Esser, and maximizer.
Mastering: $30 per finished hour of audio
Proofing
Here we switch out fine tooth combs and take another pass, looking for any misreads, mispronunciations, words that may have been fully or partially cut out, noises that couldn’t be fixed by editing, etc, and put them in a easy to use industry standard excel sheet for you to record corrections. Then we seamlessly place those pickup into the audio for you and make sure everything matches up perfectly. I currently don’t offer proofing only, but most clients who opt for editing will want proofing done also.
Editing/Proofing: $80 per finished hour of audio
Full Production
Essentially ‘all of the above.’ With this option, we handle every step of the process from raw recorded files to fully finished masters in both MP3 and WAV format. If you would like a combination not listed, such as proofing/mastering only, we are happy to work with your needs and always give a small discount for multiple services.
Full Production: $105 per finished hour of audio
